About Us
J and F Electrical Preparation was established in 2014 after realizing the need for Engineering Training that is appropriate, targeted and planned to meet the needs of the individual. Our Training Center is located in Tembisa after We noticed the need to prepare students and workers for Artisan Recognition of Prior Learning (ARPL) and practical trade preparation for Trade Testing.
Our goal is to assist individuals to become proficient members of the workforce, while growing each individual’s knowledge base and skill level. Our mission has always been to provide all of our learners with quality training, assistance and support in order to obtain their qualifications and to improve the skills gap. Let help you with the most diverse and dynamic electrical training

ELECTRICAL AND MILLWRIGHT TRADE TEST PREPARATION

The Electrical Trade Test Preparation Course is designed for an electrician with experience who would like to write his trade test. This course will ensure that you are well prepared before the test is written, practically testing all aspects of trade, identifying the gaps and ensuring that the gaps are filled. In a practical workshop environment, you will learn from industry experts.
Course Overview
• Trace a circuit of which the resistive components are not visible
• Wire a three-heat stove switch
• Perform a resistance calculation on a three heat stove switch with various resistors as load
• Perform an acceptance test on a single - and three phase motor
• Perform a cable joint
• Wire a single phase forward – reverse motor starter (Plug – in a panel and wiring panel)
• Wire a three phase forward – reverse motor starter (Plug – in panel and wiring panel)
• Wire a three phase sequence motor starter (Plug – in panel and wiring panel)
• Wire a star/delta motor starter (Plug – in panel and wiring panel)
• Wire a three phase dual speed motor
• Wire a three phase energy panel
• Wire a current – and voltage transformer panel
• Wire a relay panel
• Perform fault finding on various star/delta motor and starter
• Perform fault finding on various pre – wired resistance motor and starter
• Perform fault finding on various pre – wired auto transformer motor and starter
• Perform construction work consisting of various wire – ways and conductors
• Calculate, draw and wire various three – phase transformer configurations

The work of the millwright is both mechanical and electrical. It involves dismantling, fault detection and repairing of, for example, electric motors, which the millwright will dismantle, and test, checking wiring and determining power output and consumption.
